Course Instructor
Dr. Gaia Marchisio, Ph.D, FEA
Gaia Marchisio is a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Management Division in the Faculty of Business, and Faculty Director, Global Family Enterprise Program for Columbia Business School in New York City. Gaia holds years of experience working with business families and academic experience in the field of family business. She has participated in research projects with international partners from Academic and Professional environments (including McKinsey & Company and the Italian Stock Exchange); and has strong global experience in collaborating with financial institutions and associations working with family firms, such as International Finance Corporation (IFC – World Bank Group), Inter-America Investment Corporation (IIC – Member of the IDB Group), Credit Suisse, and Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Banking Group, to name few. In particular, Gaia has experience working with financial institutions, both consulting with them on family business-related topics and training their clients and/or associates.
