Dr. Atwell is trained as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She runs her own psychotherapy private practice facilitating meaningful connection between individuals, and within family and couple relationships.

In addition to her private practice, Emily teaches at the University of Pennsylvania on topics related to mental health, family legacy and intergenerational communication. She has worked in the family enterprise space privately with family offices and family businesses, and has offered her expertise in a consulting capacity through the Fidelity Center for Family Engagement.

Emily has also lectured on related topics at Wharton and Columbia Business School. Emily earned her MSW from Columbia University and her DSW from University of Pennsylvania. You can find more information about Emily on her website.
