Kinnect Vancouver: It’s All About Relationships
November 20 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm PST
In partnership with RBC Wealth Management, we are thrilled to invite all Members to join us for a late afternoon workshop of learning and connecting.
Relationships are at the heart of every family business – and every workplace. Yet most of us leave the health of those relationships to chance, and then we’re caught by surprise when things get a little bumpy. When those bumps lead to feelings of frustration, our own patterns of dealing with upsets (that are often hard for us to spot!) get in the way of trust, collaboration and performance. Join us for this 60-minute interactive workshop where we’ll explore:
- What gets in the way of our relationships.
- What our own “saboteurs” are and how we can spot them.
- How we can take personal responsibility for improving our relationships.
- Fresh insights and a practical tool to strengthen any working relationship.
Don't miss out on this chance to connect with your local family enterprise community, gain new insights and make new friends along the way.
Please note: This event is focused on community, peer connections and learning. No solicitation or selling of services is permitted, particularly for any advisors attending the event.

Facilitators

From left to right: Sarah Markwick, Sandy Gunn
Sarah Markwick & Sandy Gunn,
from Better Workplace Humans
Sarah and Sandy have known each other for a lot of years. In addition to being friends, they’ve been one another’s support system for talking through people and workplace situations and challenges.
In 2018, along with their friend Tara, they started the podcast, Don’t Be a Jerk at Work, to share those conversations. Working together on the podcast sparked the idea for Better Workplace Humans, which they see as the other side of the coin to Don’t Be a Jerk at Work.
While they haven’t recorded a new podcast episode in a while, Sarah and Sandy continue to use coaching and storytelling to help people make their work lives a lot less difficult. They have increased the reach of their conversation through their workshops, coaching sessions, speaking engagements, and HR consulting.
Grateful for Your Help:
