Please note: Pre-registration is required; seating is limited.
This latest workshop, designed specifically for our FEA community, will strengthen your family enterprise advising approach in your work with business families. Building on your strong foundation from the FEA Program, this workshop reviews some old favorites and provides you with some new tools, techniques and approaches to sharpen your advising skills with your business family clients.
This FEA workshop will not only provide a high-level review of family enterprise advising, but it will also cover:
- An exploration of the question “What is an FEA?”
- A refresher on the Code of Ethics and Principles of Practice for FEAs
- A deep dive into what is new in Family Enterprise Advising
- An introduction to our FEA Peer Groups and other community benefits
- A chance to synthesize the learning
- FEAs — We look forward to welcoming you on May 26th!

Katherine Bright, MA, FEA
Kathy has worked with enterprising families for nearly twenty years. As a consultant, educator, and board director, she works with families to help them thrive across generations. In addition to this, Kathy guides professional advisors to better understand the complex needs of their family business clients.
Her range includes hands-on experience with strategy and governance, and she has served on numerous family business and public company boards. She has acted as the President and an Officer of the Board for Family Enterprise Canada and Director of the Board of the Business Families Centre at UBC’s Sauder School of Business. Kathy offers insightful consulting perspectives, with interests in leadership, succession and continuity planning, strategy, risk management, governance structures, fiduciary responsibility, and the development and maintenance of positive relationships in enterprising families.
