Impact & Sustainability Award Criteria

1. Leadership and Peer Recognition

Has the family business successfully transformed its operations or practices to become a benchmark for others? Is there evidence of peer recognition or leadership within their industry or community for their sustainability and impact initiatives?

2. Problem-Solving and Alignment with SDGs

Does the family business clearly identify the challenges it aims to address, and are its solutions innovative and effective? Have they articulated which Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) their efforts align with, demonstrating a strategic focus on global priorities?

3. Transparency and Accountability

Does the family business transparently report its impact using recognized objective standards or frameworks? Are disclosures clear, consistent and aligned with best practices in sustainability and governance reporting?

4. Innovation and Scalability in Impact Practices

Does the family business demonstrate creativity and innovation in its approach to environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices? Are their initiatives scalable, replicable or capable of inspiring other businesses to adopt similar approaches?

5. The "X" Factor

What is the family's "secret recipe" for their success in terms of their impact and sustainability efforts? What sets them apart from other businesses focused on creating a better world for all?
